ColourPop recently came out with a new edition to their lippie stick collection. Not only is the formula more matte then the original, they have more fun colors to try. When I saw the collection I had to give a few of them a try! The MatteX collection has 14 new extra matte colors. At $5.00 each they are a steal. I picked up five shades that I thought I would wear and enjoy to show to you today.
Cami is a neutral mauve pink and my favorite of the bunch I ordered. It is easy to style with most looks and a great everyday color. My favorite part about ColourPop's formula is that it is very easy to over line your lips for a different shape. I love switching up my lip shape and these make it easy and unnoticeable that I did.
Barely There is a very odd name I feel like for such a bright fun pink, but besides the name I am obsessed! Summer is the season you see more bright lip combos and I wanted to add more pink to my collection. This pink is a more warm toned pink so It makes those lips look plump and your teeth appear more whiter! Not to mention you will feel like Barbie while sporting this lippie!
Bootie! I find this name oh so fun! This is a bright orange based red. This is a great red color for summer and you will be spotted a mile away with such a great pout! So far I have worn Bootie and Cami all day and I have no complaints. This formula makes it feel like you nothing on your lips. And even though it is extra matte I only had a slight flaking of the lips in the center, but nothing that effected me.
Topless also a fun name. On the website they say it is a bright yellow tangerine shade and I do agree. I wasn't sure I would be too keen on this shade but I find it very different from anything I've ever seen or tried so its fun to try something different!
Hollywood Blvd is a yellow toned brown! This shade I was very skeptical of ordering but I really wanted to try the brown lip trend out, and I am so glad I did! This color also makes your teeth appear very white and I feel like a old Hollywood starlet while wearing it, so the name fits! I bet your are thinking "old Hollywood starlet? isn't that more of a red color?" I feel like my lips appear like the true lip color in a black and white photo, very classy like the Black Dahlia.
