When it comes to makeup I love to embrace my natural skin and just enhance what I already have. Keeping things light and fresh helps give you a natural glow as well as protection for your face from the everyday wear and tare we put it through. I always like to remind people that makeup isn't something that has to happen. It is there for fun and sometimes gives you a little extra zing in your step during those sometimes miserable days. It is about what ever makes you comfortable and happy. I have to say I have been blessed with pretty nice skin, I rarely break out anymore and my skin is pretty normal in most ways. Most of what makes good skin is making sure you have a good cleansing and moisturizing routine that works for your skin, as well as keeping hydrated. When I go to buy or pick out my foundation for the day I always try to remember less is more. I love seeing my freckles and little moles poke through and I do not even mind seeing acne scars because imperfections are what make us all different and unique.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Gel Serum foundation is such a wonderful formula. It is gel based serum foundation that lets your natural skin glow through yet is easily buildable to more coverage if needed.
Maybelline New York Dream Fresh BB Balm: I am huge advocator for BB creams. They basically are moisturizer with a bit color pigment. I have tried quite a few and this one has to be one of my favorites. Some BB creams do nothing but hydrate, but this one does even out the skin without being too overbearing or make you look like a grease ball. It claims to be a 8 in 1 product. Being both skincare abd makeup in 1 simple step.
• Blurs imperfections
• Brightens
• Evens skin tone
• Smoothes
• Hydrates
• Enhances
• Protects with SPF 30
• 0% oils and heavy ingredients
Physician Formula Youthful Wear Spotless: This is hands down my top favorite skin perfectors. It is a very light liquid serum that blends out so naturally it will make you look like a glowing celebrity on the red carpet. It has a dropper wand that makes getting the perfect amount very easy. The only thing I don't love about it is the smell. Physician Formula is a dermatologist tested product so that means they use a lot more natural ingredients. Which I love, but it does have a more earthy natural scent. Nothing I can not handle because once it sets you do not smell it at all.
Simple Ultra Light Gel moisturizer: You might be a tad confused by me adding this but it is simple. If you have a foundation you love, but makes you feel like you have a Marie Antoinette mask on simply add one of your favorite moisturizers or sunscreens to the mix and it will thin out any foundation to a tinted moisturizer/ bb cream.
I hope you enjoyed todays post. I am going to try to upload posts every Tuesday and Friday. It has been a bit difficult lately because I recently got my wisdom teeth removed, and boy has it not been smooth sailings. More like I was the queen of Painvillie, and was riding the float of pain and suffering during the pain and agony parade. But I am on my way back to normalcy and have many exciting projects coming this way soon!
